Wallace plenary speaker at French OR Society conference

Stein W. Wallace was invited as plenary speaker at the 20th conference of the French Operations Research & Decision Support Society (ROADEF).

Stein W. Wallace, leader of the Centre for Shipping and Logistics of NHH, was invited as plenary speaker at the 20th conference of the French Operations Research & Decision Support Society (ROADEF). This is one of the largest societies of the The Association of European Operational Research Societies. The conference was held in Le Havre, from 19 to 21 February 2019, and gathered about 350 participants.

The plenary talk by Wallace was titled “Handling high-dimensional dependent random variables in vehicle routing”, where he studies how to model and handle very high-dimensional correlated travel times in two-stage stochastic vehicle routing problems.
