Four faculty members promoted to full professor
Malin Arve, Steffen Juranek, Eirik Sjåholm Knudsen and Vincent Somville have been promoted to full professor at NHH Norwegian School of Economics.
The promotions were announced Wednesday this week:
- Malin Arve, Department of Business and Management Science
- Steffen Juranek, Department of Business and Management Science
- Eirik Sjåholm Knudsen, Department of Strategy and Management
- Vincent Somville, Department of Economics
Malin Arve
Malin Arve is Vice Rector for Research at NHH. She is affiliated researcher at The Centre for Business Economics (CBE) and Norwegian Centre for Taxation (NoCeT) and has been Associate Professor, at the Department of Business and Management Science since 2018. Her research interests include microeconomics, contract and incentive theory, public procurement, and investment.
She received her PhD in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics in 2011 with her thesis «Dynamic Issues in Procurement and Contract Theory».
Before joining NHH, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Mannheim.
Steffen Juranek
Steffen Juranek is affiliated researcher at The Centre for Business Economics (CBE) and Norwegian Centre for Taxation (NoCeT). His expertise fields are within innovation and entrepreneurship, industrial organization, organisation and management, and intellectual property.
Juranek holds a PhD from Goethe University in Frankfurt (2012). He has worked at NHH at the Department of Business and Management Science since 2013. In 2017, he was appointed associate professor. Juranek is Academic Director at The Executive MBA with specialisation in Seafood Management.
Eirik Sjåholm Knudsen
Eirik Sjåholm Knudsen is affiliated researcher at Digital Transformation Hub at NHH. His research focuses on strategic analysis, economic organization, and competitive dynamics, with particular emphasis on how environmental shocks (like economic and financial shocks) affect firms’ behavior and performance.
Sjåholm Knudsen finalized his PhD at NHH in 2014. The title of his dissertation was Firms in Recessions. He has held a position as an Associate Professor in Strategy at the Department of Strategy and Management at NHH since 2015. He Academic Director of two Executive MBA specializations (Technology and Innovation of Finance and Strategic Management) at NHH.
Vincent Somville
Vincent Somville is affiliated to the Centre of Excellence FAIR (Centre for Experimental Research on Fairness, Inequality and Rationality) and The Choice Lab. He does research in development economics and have a particular interest in behavioural and experimental economics.
Somville got his PhD from Namur-Louvain in Belgium. He has previously worked as an expert in economic analysis and health policies for the Belgian Government and as a lecturer at the Louvain School of Management. He is also an Associated Senior Researcher at the Chr. Michelsen Institute.
