Agnar Sandmo won the prize for best article in Samfunnsøkonomen 2016.

The prize winning article is titled Progressive Taxation – A Historical Perspective. Sandmo received the price on the 39th Annual Meeting of the Norwegian Association of Economists at Oslo Business School, January 3rd 2017.
