Björn Brey, our new tenure-track Associate Professor
We would like to warmly welcome Björn Brey to our Department and the Macro Group as a new tenure-track Associate Professor.
Brey is interested in International Economics, Political Economy, and Economic History. His research examines questions on technology adoption and de-globalization. Particularly, his focus is on understanding their interconnectedness with political developments. He frequently utilizes detailed historical data allied with modern econometric techniques to answer these questions of great importance today.
Before joining our Department, Brey was a Postdoc at the University of Oxford and Université libre de Bruxelles. He obtained his PhD at the University of Nottingham in 2021.
