At the kick-off meeting 10 September all existing members and new hires of the Macro, Risk and Sustainability Centre presented their ongoing research and new research-ideas. Especially was in interesting to hear what our two new PhD students, Heidi Koponen and Preben Nordal Idsø, have been working on until they started as PhDs at NHH. Topics that were presented at the kick-off included labour supply of older workers, housing prices and household savings, deglobalization and populism, and firm behavior and dynamism. After the super-interesting and exciting presentations, the kick-off meeting was concluded with a social gathering and dinner in the evening. The kick-off showed that the Macro, Risk and Sustainability Centre is run by a dynamic group of professors, researchers and PhD students. All in all, a great start of the academic year 2024/2025.
