Privacy in the Parent Study
The project has been assessed by Sikt - Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research
The personal data we collect from you will be stored in an encrypted form on a research server and will only be accessible to one person in the administration.
How participant information is stored
Participants' names, dates of birth, and contact details will be stored in encrypted form on a research server and will only be accessible to one person in the administration. At the end of the project (no later than December 2025), this information will be deleted.
All personal data will be replaced with a code in the dataset so that the researchers processing the data cannot link specific information to the participants.
Voluntariness
Participation in the project is voluntary. There will be no negative consequences for you if you choose not to participate or later choose to ask for your information to be deleted.
Your rights
As long as you can be identified in the data material, you have the right to object, request access, and request correction and deletion of information we process about you. You will hear from us within a month. We will provide a valid reason if we believe that you cannot be identified, or that the rights cannot be exercised. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Authority about how we process your information.
If you wish to exercise your rights, please contact us by email at forelderstudien@nhh.no.
