Registering for resit exams – bachelor’s programme, compulsory courses

    For students with valid results

Students who wish to improve an exam result may register for the assessment in the semester in which the course is taught.

You register for assessment in Studentweb by the registration deadline for the current semester: 1 September or 1 February.

In Studentweb, you can register either by using the search bar under the “Active courses” tab and searching for the course code, or by clicking the “Retake course” button under the results tab.

Further information can be found in the course description for each course.

    For students without valid results

If you were registered for the exam but did not obtain a valid result (did not attend, submitted a doctor’s note, withdrew during the exam or failed), you may also register for a resit exam in a semester when the course is not taught.

If a course is not taught in the current semester, a resit exam is held at the beginning of the semester, usually in early August or January. See the relevant course description for information on whether this applies to your course.

The registration deadline and examination date are listed in the schedule for exam dates. Registration takes place in Studentweb and normally opens at the end of December and June.

In Studentweb, you can register either by using the search field under the “Active courses” tab and searching for the course code, or by clicking the “Retake course” button under the results tab.

Please note: If you are registered as “did not attend”, contact eksamen@nhh.no to register.

When retaking an exam, the new exam will follow the content, reading list, assessment form and mandatory coursework requirements set out in the current course description. The course description will also state in which semester the course is taught.

Further information can be found in the course description for each course.
