Do the reindeer owners own the wind farms on the Fosen Peninsula?
Gunnar S. Eskeland: If the mills are not to be demolished, it is because the reindeer owners and developers come to an agreement.
Such an agreement could be for the mills to postpone the demolition requirement and the restoration of the landscape for 23 or 99 years. And that the cash flow from the power in the meantime belongs to the reindeer owners.
A right of disposition to wilderness areas that lies with the local population - but with great emphasis on traditions, gentleness, and perhaps protection - it is surprising that Norwegian resource management could underestimate, Gunnar S. Eskeland writes.
