    The deadline for registration was:

    • June 1st at 12 PM (CEST) for presenters
    • August 1st at 12 PM (CEST) for non-presenters

    To print your poster, you can place an order with Aksell. Please, send an email to Post.vest@aksell.no with the following information:

    • Delivery address: Norwegian School of Economics, Helleveien 30, 5045 Bergen
    • Reference: EALE Conference / [Your Name]
    • Organization number
    • Address
    • Invoice address
    • Phone number

    Your poster will be delivered to NHH where the conference is taking place. Please, send your poster in good time as there is a high demand.

    Unfortunately, we do not offer the option to pay by invoice. All payments must be made directly through our registration page, which securely processes transactions via PayPal.

    We provide a refund up until 5 August, one month prior to the event. After that, we are unfortunately not able to refund your registration fee.

    We use the Norwegian krone (NOK) as the currency in Norway, and payments for the conference will be accepted in NOK. Please note that Norway is largely a cashless society, and paying by card is always accepted.

    The conference has booking agreements with several hotels in Bergen city centre.

    Overview of Hotels

    The accommodation situation is expected to be tight due to high demand, so we recommend booking your accommodation as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Airbnb is another option. Bergen city centre is small and very walkable. Public transport is very easily accessible.

    The EALE Conference 2024 will feature plenary sessions, parallel sessions, and poster sessions. The plenary sessions will include keynote speeches by distinguished scholars in the field of labour economics. The parallel sessions will consist of presentations of research papers on various topics in labour economics.

    Yes, all tap water is drinkable in Norway. Norway has an abundance of fresh, clean water sources, including springs, rivers, and lakes. The water quality in Norway is among the best in the world.

    The average temperature in September is around 13°C (55°F). It is advisable to bring a raincoat or umbrella as Bergen is known for its frequent rainfall.

    Business casual. You are encouraged to dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather, as Bergen can be rainy and cool in September.
