Biography
Paula is a PhD research scholar in the Department of Economics at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) since September 2020. In the academic year of 2022-2023 she has been visiting Mar Reguant at the University Pompeu Fabra and in fall 2023 she will visit the Toulouse School of Economics.
She is affiliated to the Center of Business Economics (CBE) and her main research interests include empirical industrial organisation and environmental economics. Currently, her research focuses on evaluating the effect of taxes on airline pricing in Europe, the impact of the grounding of the Boeing 737Max on prices and emissions in the US, and the effects of electric car subsidies on different income groups in Norway. Her supervisors are Morten Sæthre and Mateusz Mysliwski.
She holds a M.S.c in Economics with specialisation in Econometrics and Empirical Economics and at the Toulouse School of Economics and B.S.c in Economics from the University Pompeu Fabra.
Before joining the PhD program at NHH, she worked as research assistant at the Center for Evaluation and Development in Mannheim, at the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei in Milan, the German Development Institute in Bonn and the French Regulation Authority in Paris.
