NØSTBAKKEN APPOINTED HEAD OF NEW AQUACULTURE COMMITTEE
The new committee will look at licences in the aquaculture industry. Research director and adjunct professor Linda Nøstbakken will chair the committee.
Linda Nøstbakken joined the Department of Economics at the Norwegian School of Economics in 2013. Nøstbakken’s research focuses on the use and management of natural resources and the environment, and she has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals.
Prior to joining NHH, Nøstbakken spent five years as an assistant professor at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, Canada. She received her PhD degree in economics from NHH in 2005. At NHH, Nøstbakken was deputy rector and vice rector for academic affairs from 2017 to 2020. She was co-editor of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (2014-2020), and she has served on a number of government appointed expert commissions.
She is currently on leave as research director of Statistics Norway.
