Irene Marta Brusini received the Solesin Award
PhD researcher at NHH Irene Marta Brusini has been awarded The Valeria Solesin Prize, named after the Italian researcher who was killed in the Paris terrorist attack at the Bataclan in 2015.
I am a PhD Research Scholar in Economics at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). My research interests lie at the intersection of labor economics, public economics, and gender inequalities.
In particular, I study economic and social inequalities, exploring how labor market structures and public policies shape long-term disparities. My current research examines how early-life factors, education, fertility decisions, and labor market factors contribute to wage inequalities between men and women. In future projects, I aim to investigate the interplay between labor market participation, socioeconomic background, and fertility outcomes.
Before joining NHH, I was a pre-doc at the AXA Gender Lab at Bocconi. Previously, I studied at Bocconi University and the London School of Economics (LSE), I also had the opportunity to visit UC Berkeley.
