Master in Business and Data Science
Become a technically sophisticated business professional through our new, specialized master's programme starting in the autumn of 2027.
Advances in AI and digitalization are transforming business processes, creating new opportunities and reshaping how organizations work and compete.
In this environment, the labour market will need people with a strong combination of business competence and deep analytical skills. They must be able to interpret data, understand AI tools, and use these insights to make better decisions and solve complex problems.
NHH’s new master's programme will equip you with a solid core from finance, accounting and market analysis, combined with advanced quantitative skills and a modern toolbox. The combined training will allow you to analyse and navigate the digital business world, enabling you to identify, assess and implement new business opportunities.
Skills in ethics, sustainability, and professional communication are integral parts of all our study programmes.
Programme structure
The first two semesters of the programme are structured around two closely integrated cores: Data Science and Business.
The Data Science core provides the technical knowledge and understanding of the potential of technologies. It will deepen your existing statistics and data analysis skills and build the foundation for later courses that apply these methods.
The Business core consists of courses that implement and apply data science methods in core business functions. This core also provides you with the skills to communicate and translate complex technical questions and solutions to a business audience.
The third semester offers opportunities for exchange, electives and internships. Students moreover start preparing their masters thesis in the third semester, with the main work taking place in the fourth semester.
