How to focus effectively on the material ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) topics when assessing and valuing a company? How to integrate ESG in company valuation in a relevant way?
These are the topics of a new draft guide. Norsif (Norsk Forum for Ansvarlige og Bærekraftige Investeringer) took the initiative in early 2020 to create this guide and from NHH Jose Albuquerque de Sousa, Carsten Bienz and Aksel Mjøs from the Department of Finance contributed with the part on ESG in valuation, whilst Annie Bersagel, Marte Storaker and Isabelle Juillard Thompsen wrote the ESG information and analysis part. The seminar will introduce the guide, but also invite comments and suggestions from both practitioners and academics.
