Abstract
Wireless Capsule Endoscopy (WCE) is a groundbreaking technology in gastroenterology. WCE offers a less invasive alternative to traditional endoscopy, yet faces challenges such as uneven illumination, limited view and lack of control over capsule movement. In this presentation, I will address some of the challenges posed by WCE through 3D reconstruction of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, enhancement of WCE images, and clinical evaluation of these models and images. Through systematic exploration, different 3D reconstruction algorithms and image enhancement methods will be discussed. The findings will highlight the potential of 3D models and enhanced images as diagnostic tools, with implications beyond gastroenterology.
