Christmas Greetings from DIG
As we approach the conclusion of 2023, the Digital Innovation for Sustainable Growth (DIG) team would like to take a moment to extend our warmest wishes to all our partners, friends, and followers. It has been an eventful year, and we are excited to share some of our highlights and plans for the upcoming year.
DIG is entering its fourth year, and we are well on our way to realizing our ambition of becoming Norway's leading research center. This achievement is made possible by our talented master's and doctoral students, as well as our assistant, associate, and full professors, who consistently produce world-class research through collaboration, support, and challenges from our partners.
Together, we have established a professional and forward-thinking research center dedicated to providing industry-relevant research.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our strategic partners: Telenor, Gjensidige, Bergen Municipality, Coop, and KPMG, who serve as the driving forces propelling our center forward on the path to reaching the pinnacle of success.
2023 Highlights
Over the past 12 months, our faculty members have continued to engage in scholarly pursuits, contributing to the expansion of knowledge through impactful research and publications.
Our initiatives, including Corporate Workshops in collaboration with Eviny and KPMG, partner forums, business labs, and DIG and RaCE study trips to Paris and Singapore, have been instrumental in strengthening our relationships and fostering innovation.
A recurring highlight of the year was our DIG Summit, centered around the theme "Anything as a Service." During this event, we facilitated the exchange of experiences and insights between practitioners and academics.
We also had the honor of appointing Håkon Haugli from Innovation Norway as our new DIG fellow.
A busy 2024
As we look forward to 2024, we anticipate a year characterized by innovation, growth, and continued collaboration.
In late January, we will kick off the year with the launch of our first corporate workshop. In February, we will unveil insights derived from the Norwegian Innovation Index, shedding light on the state of innovation in our region.
Additionally, we are preparing two significant research grant proposals aimed at expanding the scope of the DIG research agenda.
Plans are already underway for a study trip to Cambridge, offering our partners a valuable opportunity to explore and learn in an inspiring environment.
We are actively engaged in preparations for the next DIG Summit, an event promising to be an enlightening platform for the exchange of ideas and collaboration.
Furthermore, we eagerly anticipate the contributions of several new faculty members who will enrich the DIG research community with their expertise and insights.
We extend our appreciation to each of you for being a part of our DIG community. We cannot wait to witness the promising future that lies ahead. Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year!
