About DIG
DIG is Norway’s leading research center on digital Innovation for sustainable growth at NHH Norwegian School of Economics.
Through interdisciplinary research and close collaboration with our partners, our ambition is to help Norwegian organizations increase the effectiveness of their customer-oriented innovations, develop new business models, and adapt the organizations to a digital everyday life. The goal is to ensure high employment and financing of the welfare state.
Together with our partners, DIG challenges traditional thinking and develops new knowledge. DIG is going to be the natural “go-to-place” for business leaders who are interested in research-based knowledge pertaining to digital value creation, innovation, and transformation. Jointly, we do research, networking, and dissemination.
NII and Start Smart
The Norwegian Innovation Index and Start Smart tool are examples of research that provides concrete benefits for partners and business.
The Norwegian Innovation Index (NII) was established in 2016 by researchers from NHH and DIG. This index is the world's first to evaluate innovative companies based on feedback from their customers – customers' perceptions. Results are launched annually and DIG partner Bekk offers consulting services on implementing the Norwegian Innovation Index for higher return.
Start Smart is a tool for starting and developing teams and groups. The tool can be used at the first meeting, or at any point in time during a team’s lifespan
To create and capture value from digital innovations is a complex and demanding task. It necessitates a diverse set of skills and expertise. To this end, we contribute to the education and training of NHH students (at the bachelor's, master's, and PhD levels), faculty, and provide educational programs for industry professionals. These efforts are realized through our close collaboration with NHH Executive and AFF.
