These six want to be the new rector at at NHH
Five men and one woman have applied for the top job at the Norwegian school of economics
Macroeconomist and professor, Øystein Thøgersen, has entered his last year as rector at NHH after holding the position for seven years.
Now five men and one woman have applied for the job for the next four years, starting in August 2025.
- Kofi Asumadu (36), male, Vice-Rector, American Gymnasium, Stockholm.
- Helge Thorbjørnsen (48), male, Professor, Department of Strategy and Management, NHH, Bergen.
- Anders Frederiksen (48), male, Head of Department/Professor, Department of Business Development and Technology, Aarhus University, Hammel.
- Mette Helene Bjørndal (56), female, Professor, Department of Business and Management Science, NHH, Alver.
- Aksel Mjøs (60), male, Head of Department/Associate Professor, Department of Finance, NHH, Osterøy.
- Applicant exempt from public disclosure, male.
The board at NHH has set up an advisory recommendation committee which carries out interviews and selection in the process.
According to the plan, the committee will present a proposal for the appointment of a rector to the board at NHH at the board meeting in December 2024.
The coming rector's term will last from 1.8.25-31.7.29 and was advertised on 9 September, with an application deadline of 6 October.
