Record high application numbers at NHH

2,830 applicants have NHH Norwegian School of Economics as their first choice. This is an increase of 30,4 per cent from last year. Stella Løge Nerland (18) hopes she makes the cut.

Excited to meet new students

One person that is extra happy today is Rector Øystein Thøgersen.

‘The application numbers are really strong! Our appealing study programmes have drawn a significant number of applications this year, paving the way for us to welcome a fresh cohort of highly talented students this autumn,’ he says and adds:

Combines economics and natural science

Stella Løge Nerland (18) at Kongshavn videregående skole (upper secondary school in Oslo) is one of the applicants for BEDS.

‘I've chosen BEDS as my first choice because it's an exciting programme that combines economics and natural science - two areas I'm interested in. Plus, I love traveling and I want to study abroad. So, having the programme taught in English is a great benefit for me,’ she says.

Nerland visited the school in February this year at “Åpen dag”. This gave her the confirmation she needed that NHH is the right school for her.

International programme

Teaching in the new bachelor’s programme BEDS is given exclusively in English, and NHH will also recruit international students.

BEDS provides admission to the Master's programme in Economics and Business Administration at NHH, like the existing "BØA" programme. A completed master's degree will give the title “siviløkonom”.
