Norwegian School of Economics attracts many well qualified students every year. Last year the school obtained another top listing when 2 221 applicants had the Siviløkonom programme (Bachelor and Master) at NHH as their number one priority. NHH had thus yet again the most popular education in Norway.
Last year the required score in the ordinary application quota also continued to rise. The required score rose from 57,8 in 2020 to 58,3. For applicants coming directly from high school the required score was 54,5 points.
Rector Øystein Thøgersen is looking forward to welcoming new students in the autumn. He believes that the number of applicants will remain high also this year.
‘It has always been a fierce competition for being admitted to NHH, and the interest in business studies has increased in recent years. Our applicants know that we offer a future-oriented education, and that our candidates are popular in several industries both in Norway and abroad,’ says Thøgersen.
Facts and figures from 2020:
- NHH students are among the most satisfied.
- The master’s degree at NHH is ranked as the best business degree in Norway.
- More than 9 of 10 NHH candidates have a relevant job half a year after they achieved their master’s degree. 86 per cent received a job offer before they graduated.
- Most NHH candidates work in consultancy (36 per cent), auditing (14 per cent) or banking, insurance, and finance (13 per cent). Seven per cent in IT.
- Eight per cent work fulltime in their own company and six per cent work abroad.
- The average salary continues to rise. NOK 574,357 in total salary, including bonuses.
