Telenor visits NHH Forum
Telenor with CEO and President Sigve Brekke at the helm is this year’s guest at NHH Forum. The conference title is "Innovating across global markets – with integrity".
NHH Forum is an annual event where NHH and the student union, NHHS, invites a major Norwegian corporation to NHH to present and discuss challenges and development in the area where the company does business.
This year’s event takes place at NHH on Thursday 18 October, and the guest is Telenor. The mobile communications company with 172 million customers in Scandinavia and Asia competes in a global market that requires constant innovation.
The company also expresses a clear commitment to responsible business conduct and an ambition of empowering societies.
Business and tech talks
During the aula-part of NHH Forum, CEO Sigve Brekke and six other high-ranking members from different parts of Telenor’s management will talk about subjects spanning from business development and sustainability to technology and innovation in areas like artificial intelligence and the internet of things.
Professor Jon Iden from NHH’s department of Strategy and management contributes with comments on digitalisation innovation and technology.
After the presentations, NHH Professor Inger Stensaker and NHH student Karoline Glad will moderate a panel debate. The panel includes CEO Brekke, SVP and Head of Sustainability Mai Oldgard, CFO Jørgen Rostrup and Associate Professor Lars Jacob Tynes Pedersen from NHH’s Department of Accounting, Auditing and Law. There will also be openings for questions from the audience.
When the aula event is over, NHH Forum continues in the Student Cafeteria, where students can meet representatives from Telenor.
Case competition
A new feature in connection with this year’s event is ac case competition hosted by the student union’s case club and Telenor.
Telenor has given seven NHH teams a case to solve, and the winner will be announced during the session in the Aula.
