Electronic exams with the lockdown browser
Most electronic school exams, except those requiring access to external applications, are conducted in WISEflow using the Lockdown Browser. The Lockdown Browser restricts participants from accessing internet sites, files, and programs on their computers during the exam. However, participants may access specific internet sites if they are whitelisted by the lecturer, such as the exam module of lovdata.no.
Exams using the Lockdown Browser are conducted in an in-app editor, where participants write their answers directly in WISEflow. As long as you are connected to the internet, your answers will be saved automatically every few seconds.

On the day of the exam
On the day of the exam
Please arrive at the exam venue no later than 30 minutes before the exam begins. Log in to WISEflow, locate your exam flow, and press the "Start" button at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. This will allow you to see the countdown to the exam.
At the official start of the exam, you will receive a participant password that you must enter to access the exam. If you press "Start" after the exam start time, you will be required to enter an additional password that only the invigilators have. Please note that no extra time will be provided for the delay caused by waiting for the invigilator.
There are two types of exams conducted with the in-app editor: FLOWlock and FLOWmulti.

FLOWlock exams
FLOWlock exams
During a FLOWlock exam, you will write your answers in the FLOWlock text editor. You can open the exam assignment in a separate tab and use your webcam to take pictures of handwritten graphs and mathematical formulas. Special sheets for taking pictures will be provided at the start of the exam. It is recommended that you practice taking pictures and inserting them into your answer paper using the FLOWlock demo flow before your first exam.
Note: Pictures taken with your webcam must be directly inserted into the text of your answer paper. Pictures that are merely attached but not embedded within the text may not be considered by the examiner during the assessment.

FLOWmulti exams
FLOWmulti exams
FLOWmulti exams are interactive exams where you write your answers directly within the exam assignment. These exams may include both multiple-choice and open-text questions. In some cases, the lecturer may ask you to attach pictures taken with a webcam for certain types of questions. Unlike FLOWlock exams, where images are inserted directly into the text, in FLOWmulti exams, the images should be attached to the designated section rather than embedded in the answer text.
Please practice using the demo flows before your first FLOWmulti exam. There are two demo flows available for FLOWmulti: one with the Lockdown Browser and another called "FLOWmulti Advanced" without the Lockdown Browser. The "FLOWmulti – Advanced" demo flow provides a broader range of question types and allows you to practice attaching images.
