BIOGRAPHY

Nikodem is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Economics and FAIR, under the supervision of Katrine V. Løken. Prior to joining NHH, he completed an MRes in Economics at the European University Institute, an MSc in Finance at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and an MSc in Sociology at the University of Warsaw. He has worked at the Polish Ministry of Finance on projects using tax micro-data.

His main area of research is labor economics, with a particular interest in intergenerational inequalities—specifically, how well people do compared to their parents. Nikodem plans to write a thesis on the role of modern families in shaping the life-cycle outcomes of their offspring. He has previously published in the European Journal of Political Economy and Business & Politics.
