Biography
Ezgi is a Ph.D Research Scholar at the Department of Economics and affiliated with the Choice Lab under FAIR. Her supervisor is Bertil Tungodden. She earned her BA degree in Economics with a double major in Psychology from Koc University and also holds an MA in Economics degree from the same institution.
Between 2014-2019 she was a research assistant on various projects in the Department of Psychology. These projects focused on communication development in childhoold and infancy, as well as social threat perception. During her Master's degree, she conducted research on the effects of female empowerment. In the final year of her Master's degree, she also participated in an ERC project which centered on large-scale interventions to enhance non-cognitive skills among primary school children in an educational environment.
Her current research interests revolve around examining how social factors influence fairness considerations in childhood, with a specific focus on the children's development, psychological mechanisms and their sense of social identity.
