Diploma in french for professions
The department of professional and intercultural communication at NHH is first in Norway to offer an examination in French for Professions: Diplômes de francais des Affaires.
The Diploma in French for Professions test (DFP-test) ranges from beginner to advanced level (A1-C1) and proves that you can communicate efficiently and professionally, both orally and written, in essential work and business situations in French.
The certificate is valid indefinitely.

The DFP-test is open for all applicants who wish to certify their skills in French business communication. You do not need to be a student at the Norwegian School of Economics to take the test. For students at NHH, the courses FRA21 (A1-A2-level, spring semester) and FRA22 (B1-level, autumn semester) can be taken in preparation for the test.
The DFP-certificate is issued and administered by La Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris Île-de-France (Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Paris).
The DFP-test is offered at 124 universities and university colleges all over the world, and it is used to test students’ French level at the 32 schools in the CEMS-collaboration (The Global Alliance in Management Education). The Diplômes de francais des Affaires certificate is also acknowledged at several European departments.

The test is arranged two times each year, all levels (A1-C1).
The test is arranged in May and in November/December at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), Helleveien 30, 5045 Bergen. Specific dates can be found in the application form that is published in February/August each year.
You must meet physically at NHH to take the test.

A1-A2: NOK 900,-
B1-level: NOK 1100,-
B2-C1: NOK 1200,-
The fee covers both the examination fee to the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry and administrative costs at NHH. Please notice that prices are subject to change in line with increased prices from the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

A link for the application form is published online in February for the tests that take place in May and in August for the tests that take place in November/December. The specific dates for the tests at NHH will then be accessible in the application form.

The deadline for signing up for the test is 1. May for the tests that are held during the Spring semester and 1. November for the tests that are held during the Autumn semester.

You can find tips and examples of previous tests on the Le français des affaires web pages. Some of the information is in French only, but some parts are also accessible in English.
For students at NHH, the courses FRA21 (A1-A2-level) and FRA22 (B1-level) are offered as preparations for the DFP-test. The courses will provide you with a good basis for successfully taking the DFP-test.
