When right is wrong and wrong is right
Chronicle by Jan Ubøe: It is possible to find scientific support for just about everything.
Sometimes statistics can be extremely difficult to interpret. Politicians and journalists may be excused, as misunderstandings and wrong interpretations are common also among researchers, some of them of a high international standard.
But who knows for certain what is right? Right or wrong in science can not be a democratic decision, where the majority is right and the minority is wrong, Professor Jan Ubøe writes in his chronicle Når rett blir galt og galt blir rett (in Norwegian), which was published in Bergens Tidende on June 3, 2017.
