BIO
Karen Modesta Olsen joined the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in her current position in 2011. She received her dr.polit degree in sociology from University of Oslo in 2006. She held a post.doc position at NHH from 2007-2011, and worked as a researcher at Center for Applied Research at NHH (SNF) from 1999-2007.
Olsen’s research interests are concentrated on Human Resource Management and industrial relations. She has published articles on employment relations, non-standard work arrangements, job quality, and sickness absence in journals such as Human Resource Management, Work, Employment & Society, European Journal of Industrial Relations, European Sociological Review, Work and Occupations, and Social Science and Medicine.
